End of May the Performance Awards were presented in the context of the Shareholder Assembly.

The criteria were based on the monthly quantity and quality statistics. For the year 2012, the winners are the following:

In the category ‘Quality’, divided by branch size, Lamprecht Transport AG in Ramsen (Switzerland) and Honold International GmbH & Co. KG in Neu-Ulm (Germany) were honored.

Gebrüder Weiss in Graz (Austria) was the lucky winner in the category ‘Improvement of the Year’.

Once again, the appointment of Hellmann Worldwide Logistics GmbH & Co. KG Germany as ‘Partner of the Year‘ was the peak of the award ceremony.

The more than 60 attendees recognized the overall 12 winners with enthusiastic applause. The winners and their congratulators celebrated in one of the traditional wine bars in Vienna.

New Strategy Paper & new members of the Steering Committee

The participants were presented with the Strategy Paper for the upcoming three years.

Quality optimization, sustainable logistics services and the extension of the product portfolio are central points of the upcoming years. Also a thorough analysis of the whole IT structure is another very important aspect.

Two longtime members of the Steering Committee, Ingolf Heuring (Streck Transportges. mbH) and Uwe Oemmelen (Rhenus Freight Logistics GmbH & Co. KG), assign their tasks to the younger generation. Both belonged to the founding circle of the System Alliance Europe.

The vacancies were filled with Tobias Bartz (Rhenus Freight Logistics GmbH & Co. KG) and Manfred Haas (Streck Transport AG).

The reelected members are: François Decaudin (Groupe Heppner), Guido van Dessel (H. Essers & Zonen Internationaal Transport N.V.), Klaus Hellmann (Hellmann Worldwide Logistics GmbH & Co. KG), Paul Looman (Wim Bosman Holding B.V.), Wolfgang Niessner (Gebrüder Weiss Gesellschaft m.b.H.), Ewald Raben (Raben Polska Sp.z.o.o.), Oliver Rüter (L. W. Cretschmar Española, S.A.) and Jürgen Wolpert (Friedrich Zufall GmbH & Co. KG).
