Through the cooperation with the EcoTransIT World Initiative (EWI), System Alliance Europe can not only offer its partners carbon dioxide calculation on the basis of individual calculation parameters for road transports. Also rail, air and sea shipments can be calculated reliably.

For the requirements of every partner company of System Alliance Europe, a custom-made interface is provided. This way, a company database can efficiently be filled with all relevant information for the preparation of specific environmental statements, regional pollution and reports about emissions.

Ralph Anthes, project manager at EWI: ‘With this cooperation we offer the partners of System Alliance Europe an opportunity to use the generally accepted calculation model according to DIN EN 16258 of EWI. Furthermore, we increase our degree of popularity through these new users as well as the acceptance of our results.‘

The EcoTransIT Initiative is an independent industry driven platform for carriers, logistics service providers and shippers. The goal is the development and maintenance of a global tool and methodology for carbon foot printing and environmental impact assessments in the transport sector. EWI also aims at cooperating with research institutes, nongovernmental organizations and other logistics sector initiatives.
