Dynamic development of System Alliance Europe continues in 2007 Number of consignments rises again On the occasion of its partner meeting on 27 May in Prague, the cooperation for general cargo, System Alliance Europe, announced its data for the business year 2007. According to the statement, the number of European groupage consignments of all cooperation partners increased by some six percent from 10.2 to 10.8 million. This figure corresponds to 10.6 million tons handled by the member branches.
Turnover and employees on the upswing
More employees generate more turnover: this formula definitely applies to the network partners. That way, their worldwide turnover developed from 8.6 billion euros in 2006 to 9.5 billion euros in the last business year. 48,000 employees committed themselves to this outcome; in the previous year the number of employees still amounted to just over 40,000.

System Alliance Europe puts newly developed Gateway Concept into Practice
Following an extensive test phase a newly developed Gateway concept will now enter into practical operations. The partners of the European cargo network System Alliance Europe increase the frequency of daily European departures and therewith optimise the service quality. Transparent procedures and complete consignment information ensure reliability and security. The Gateway concept allows all network members to intensively use the existing system of direct lines. Amongst others, shippers from economically weak areas profit from this fact. In the process the customer has access to all the relevant information he knows from direct transports, as the concept includes the complete, web-based consignment history up to and including the delivery receipt.
